John McCain - A Supporter of George Bush's Banking Crisis

"Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous nationwide competition, as we have done over the last decade in banking, would provide more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst excesses of state-based regulation."
This is a quote from John McCain made several months ago when he outlined his ideas to reform health care in the United States. Make no mistake about it, John McCain felt that the financial policies and banking practices encouraged by George Bush were a model for America. Never mind that numerous banks had already collapsed beginning as early as 2001. George Bush felt that the banking industry deserved to make as much short term profit as possible and he encouraged this by keeping interest rates artificially low. Instead of being a true "Maverick," John McCain was simply another republican yes man to George Bush's failing policies.

John McCain - Another Yes Man for George Bush
The fact remains that John McCain sided with George Bush over 90% of the time on issues such as the invasion of Iraq, the lowering of Interest rates so big corporations could prosper while the American public was duped into loans they could not afford, and even Bush's insistence in not allowing for regulations on the out of control Banking and Loan industries.
Of course now McCain sees the public outrage at G.W. needing to spend 700 BILLION of our taxpayer dollars to bail out the greedy banks. As a result he is trying to act as if he is different than George Bush despite his past statements and actions to the contrary. The winds have changed and of course John McCain's stance has shifted. All this so that he can try and fool the American Public into thinking he is different than George Bush (a very difficult thing to do when all of your statements over the last 8 years praised G.W. and the work he was doing to destroy our beloved country).
Now McCain appears in a presidential debate and can't even mention one specific thing he would do to help our economy. Wait a second.... I am mistaken.... McCain did mention that he would cut Washington earmarks. Heck McCain even brought his famous "earmarking" pen which he said he would use to line out anything he did not like.
Don't be fooled by McCain's antics, the nonpartisan group FactCheck.org uncovered the truth that earmarks have been in decline for years so McCain is simply using smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that he has no real plans to change the status quo in Washington or in the Banking Industry. Not only that, he wants to extend the failed banking policies to the healthcare industry so that he can one up George W. Bush and blow up our healthcare industry in addition to our banking industry!
Way to go Mr. Maverick.

Yes. McCain's performance during this crisis is a perfect example of what NOT to say and do, when faced with such issues. It will be taught for many years to come in advanced political science classes. No matter what people call themselves politically, his behavior exemplifies the exact things NOT to do when you're running for high office.
what do ya think we're all white trash and can't see we're being bamboozled by obama? He's been shoving Acorn down the throats of banks since the early 90's and before as a community agitator for Acorn and Medeline Talbot.
Get a life.

Excellent, Joe Doe. You know my views by now. So good to see you on Hub pages. I am so glad you said you respect others rights to disbelieve. I am a believer, and totally support the right of the individual to choose to believe or not. It's so good to see another with what I consider an understanding of our basic freedom prinicples.
Keep writing, well done and a million thumbs up!!
